- Really? Well did you know that only 146 million people live in Russia which is about 2.3 times more than the U.K., even though Russia is 70 times bigger.
- Did you know that Russia is so wide that it has 11 time zones. At midday in Kaliningrad, it's 10pm in Kamchatka.
- Russia used to be part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the USSR, along with some other countries, however it broke up in 1991.
- No way! That's terrible!
- Death rate in Russia is so high because of the large amount alcohol-related deaths and alcohol-related emergencies represent the bulk of emergency room visits in the country.
- The birth rate in Russia is so low because the fertility rate sits at around 1.3 births per woman. For a country to maintain a stable population, the fertility rate must be at 2.1.
- Russia's population is getting older. The Government might have to increase tax, raise retirement age or to encourage people to have more people to have children just to support the older population.

- Russia's economy and its people heavily depend on the export of fossil fuels. In 2013, the sale of fossil fuels made up 18.2% of Russia's GDP.
