- Father Gilbert , me and my wife want to know how Filipino Catholics celebrate the Easter Season and we want to be part of it.
- What are they doing Father?
- That is what we called waving palm leaves. It is a customary practice and a reenactment of Jesus' entrance to Jerusalem
- Yes you're correct Mr. Garcia.
- Is that palm leaves?
- Wow! That's so cool
- During Holy Week, we Catholics practice the "Pabasa ng Pasyon" by constantly chanting "Pasyong Mahal", a 16th century epic poem about Jesus' ressurection.
- It's an old tradition here in the Philippines.
