- Jonas learned about sunshine. Then Jonas asks about the pain, the Chief Elders had told Jonas that he would go through a lot of pain, but Jonas found the memories until now very exciting.

- The Giver explains to Jonas that he doesn't have the memory he just transmitted to Jonas anymore. Jonas asks why there are no hills and snow here, the Giver tells him about climate control and sameness.
- I will transmit another memory to you.

- I've learned from my mistakes in the past, but I have enough energy to transmit the last memory for today
