- It coud sound funny but the segregation went so far as to make separate toilets
- They had the most dangerous, exhausting jobs, like the diggers who had to risk their life every time they went in the mines.
- And they could get killed only because they didn't respect the curfew !
- We saw "white" cities. Can you imagine ? Johburg was one of these. Cities where blacks were not accepted. Unless...
- Yes, the benches were reserved so that people with different skin colours were not mixed together too
- ... they had a passbook. They required black people over the age of 16 to carry it with them at all times as an identity card, a pass and a permit to stay outside their area of residence.
- I don't understand... How can humans do something as awful as create physical and moral apartness?
- It was a racist political system because selfish people wanted to suppress all the rights of Non-White people.
- They thought that they were inferior and so they had less rights
- They had a test that they thought was "scientific" but it was only dumb.
- It consisted of putting a pencil in the hair: if it fell out they were white enough to be called so, but if it remained in the hair, they were considered Non-White.
- No ! Seriously ??!!?
- Yes exactly !
- It's really crazy !
- For them the most Important race was the European one, then followed by Indians, then by coloured and finally the least important : Blacks
