- At The beginning of his story, he talks about his desire to learn more about nature and the world around him. He is ultimately curious
- What's this?? Fire?? Light?? Grass?? oh my!
- Yet over time as traveling to new places, he begins to notice that people are scared of him and run away. He decides to stay away from humans for as long as possible

- While going away, he stumbles upon a cottage of a family. He begins to study them and learn their language. He wants to become more human
- Hello!! How are you??
- Yet from learning more and more about human society, he realizes that he is deformed and lonely. This causes him to be sad and want to gain acceptance
- Wanting to gain attention and respect, he enters the cottage. Yet to his dismay, the inhabitants are scared and chase him out of the village. Frankenstein is angered and sad.

- despite saving a girl from a river, he is falsely convicted of killing her. This makes him hate humanity and begin killing humans. His first victim is William
