- Bud wakes up and goes to his mom's room as he opens the door he realises that his mom had just died. moments later bud becomes a orphan and gets moved to an orphanage.  
- chapter 11
- After being told by a worker at the orphanage that he has found another foster home he says bye to his friend bugs by doing there signature handshake. 
- chapter 12
- In bud's new foster home he meets his new "brother". which later on plays a prank on bud by shoving a pencil up his nose. after bud getsinto a fight with him that would lead to him sleeping in the Shed of Doom.
- chapter 18
- After being seen by this strange man (who we later find out is lefty lewis) he gives Bud a sandwich and a red soda. after bud takes a nap.
- lefty lewis drops Bud off at the place the band is practicing at once inside bud. confronts his "dad' in hopes to finally find his father. but since the man denise the fact bud is his son Bud then stays there with the band in hopes to prove callaway is his father
- after getting accused of stealing by his 'dad' bud explains that the rocks are from his mother. then proving that Callaway is in fact not his dad but his grandfather.
