- Oh no! This burger was stuck in Hannah's airway, preventing her to from breathing. This lack of breathing led to her losing consciousness. Shannon was able to gently lay Hannah on the ground by hooking her arms under Hannah's armpits, while supporting her head, neck, and back.
- It's okay, Hannah! I'll help you!
- Oh my God! I'm on it! Start CPR NOW!
- Shannon realized the severity of the situation and yelled for her mom (who was upstairs) to call 911, as she needed to begin CPR right away. Her mom called 911, and Shannon began CPR with 30 chest compressions.
- MOM!! Call 911, Shannon is unresponsive and not breathing!
- After the chest compressions, Shannon opened Hannah's mouth to see if she could fish out the piece of burger that she was choking on. She couldn't even see it, so she continued CPR with 2 rescue breaths.
- 1.......2!!!!
- The paramedics arrived to the scene and took over. The are trained professionals with better knowledge and tools to save Hannah.
- Continuing chest compressions now!
- The paramedic performing CPR checked Hannah's airway following the chest compressions. He was able to spot the piece of burger and successfully removed it! Hannah was able to breathe right away and regained consciousness!
- Got it! She's okay!
- Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
- Once Hannah calmed down and was doing alright on her own, the paramedics left and both girls were so happy that her life was able to be saved.
- Don't apologize! I'm just happy that you're alive!
- Sorry for scaring you, girl.
