- Good Morning Students, Welcome once again. Today we are going to learn about South African Money. As shown on the slide.
- Ms, Mkhabela, mom says we can use coins to buy anything at the supermarket.
- so the South African Money is in the Rands currency. we get the following coins; R1. R2, R5,10c, 20c
- Today's Activity is called; COIN-IT!so in this activity you are required to look at the number symbol on the coin and take out pompoms or beads that match the number symbol.
- how exciting, Can we start ?
- This is how you will do it; I see a R1 coin, so that means i have to take out one bead. with R2, I take out two beads.
- R1 means I am taking out one bead. now let me take out two beads for the R2 coin.
- now the R5 coin, '1,2,3,4,5.
- The R5 coin has 5beads, the 10c coin has 10 beads.
- Ms.Mkhabela. we are done. Have a look, R1 has one bead. R2, has two beads.
