- Hey guys! Did you know that in Medieval Period, their music encircles sacred and secular music? Their music is usually monophonic and sometimes sang with improvise accompaniment like lute, citole and many more!
- Then do you know Adam de la Halle? he is known as one of the oldest secular composers in Medieval Period and two of his works are titled Le Jeu de Robin et Marion!
- Music in Renaissance Period is different. Their music are mostly polyphonic and imitation among voices is also common. Melodic lines move in a flowing matter and melodies are easier to perform because these move along a scale with a few large leaps.
- And just like in the Medieval Period, Renaissance Period also have famous composers like Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and Thomas Morley.
- In Baroque Period, melodies are elaborate and ornamental. Unlike Renaissance Period, music in Baroque Period has primarily contrapuntal textures with some homophony and melodies are not easy to sing or remember.
- And just like Medieval and Renaissance Period, they also have famous composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and George Friedrich Handel who are known for their specialty in music.
