- The revolution begins
- Esmes slave owner is beating her once again for not completing her tasks on time
- Revolution ends
- She gets together with other slaves who have had enough of being treated horribly and are ready to take action
- Freedom
- The slaves start burning plantations, homes, and killing slave owners.
- After killing hundreds of the french army and retreating, Haiti is officially free and independent
