- Ii have a problem. i need a husband and a male heir so when i die someone powerful will be there to take over. its not easy to choose a husband as a queen.
- its too much work to choose a side so i wont marry, im married to my country already. i will just make my cousin james VI my heir.
- another problem, the religous settlement! lots of my country wants england to be catholic and some of it wants it to be protestant. but im protestant and i want to be in charge.
- ok, i will make my country protestant but thats not fair for the catholics so i will let them have their beliefs and traditions. i will call it 'via media' 1563.
- war with spain! i could have married phillip II but i chose not to because my sister Mary was married to him. he helped Mary turn england catholic and isnt happy now that i have made it protestant. so he is now attacking here in 1588!
- When phillip II came i made a big speech to my soldiers on the coast before war. i was very good a planning and i managed to defeat the spanish armada and england is safe. now i have gained a reputation as queen.
