- What is the council's decision?
- We have decided that Easter shall be on Sunday, the Lord's day, and it will occur every year near the Jewish Holiday of Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread.
- We the council have also decided that Arius is a heretic for believing and preaching the idea that Jesus was a lesser, created being.
- Arius, I hereby excommunicate you for refusing to sign the formula of faith stating that Christ was of the same divine nature as God!
