- On Manor Farm, the owner of the farm, Mr. Jones, comes drunk and falls asleep. All of the farm animals go to the barn to talk about Old Major's strange dream.
- I hope it's important!
- I wonder what it is
- Everyone begins to settle in the barn ready for Major to say his speech.
- I don't have much days left. After I'm gone, I want you to rise. I want you to resist against anything and anyone that comes to you with harm. Rebellion!
- My dream last night was an Earth without men, and where animals were free. It reminded me of a song my mother sang to me, Beasts of England.
- After hearing Major's speech, they all started celebrating and singing Beasts of England
- While all this joy and excitement was going on with the animals, they were making a lot of noise in the barn. This woke up Mr. Jones. He rushed outside to make sure there wasn't a fox in the yard. He fired a shot from his gun and went back inside. All the animals suddenly settled down and fell asleep.
