- Euryalus challenged Odysseus to Discus throw and at first he refused but after some bold remarks from Euryalus, Odysseus threw the farthest discus throw.
- During their dining, Demodocus sang songs for them. Odysseus asks him to sing another song after.
- After starting to sing a song about Troy, Odysseus started tearing up. King Alcinoos ordered him to stop singing and asks Odysseus what happened that causes him to cry like that.
