- It's not like there weren't any predictors that didn't see this civil war happening, they were, but they were on the new, and my siblings and I hated the news.
- This october of 2014, a year before the guerilla, civil war that took place in April 25th of 2015 in Burundi. I was 7 years old, my younger brother was 5, my older sister 10, and my older brother 13.

- Plus, my younger brother and I were preoccupied with our French, public school, "The School of Chicks" or "Chicks' School". We weren't doing so well in classes, the school was kind of underfunded, despite having a rich, white woman as a director.
- Even if we had watched the news, I don't think it would have prepared us enough, as my siblings and I were a bit too young to grasp the concept of actions and the consequences that followed, or situations going out of control.

- That was purely the work of the devil and his allies, let's pray it away.
- Things started to kind of escalate after the month I turned 8 years old, it was only a bit, we saw a snippet of it on a news channel we had accidentally landed on, someone got burned.
