Storyboard Text

  • Mitosis is the process of parent cells, the source of other cells going through a process called interphase and eventually creating daughter cells.
  • It's alright brother, it'll regrow after going through the process of interphase.
  • Oh yeah, it's fine It'll regrow through the process of mitosis. It kinda hurts though.
  • Oh my goodness, you lost a fin I see.. Will you be alright?
  • Yeah I bet it does hurt, but what's mitosis?
  • Whoa dude! Is your fin okay? There's an entire chunk missing from it!
  • Yeah, and every part of our body has specialized cells meant for a specific role, like blood cells, or liver cells.
  • It's alright brother, it'll regrow after going through the process of interphase.
  • These daughter cells are genetically identical.
  • Oh my goodness, you lost a fin I see.. Will you be alright?
  • I think I don't have a lot of brain cells then.. If that's how it works.
  • That's gnarly dude, I didn't know we could do that..
  • Prophase is the first stage of cell division where chromosomes become paired with chromatids. Metaphase is the 2nd stage, which is when chromosomes become attached to spindle fibers.
  • It's alright brother, it'll regrow after going through the process of interphase.
  • Mitosis also has 4 other phases of which I have not mentioned, these phases are prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.
  • Anaphase, where chromosomes split and finally telophase is where two cells are formed
  • Oh my goodness, you lost a fin I see.. Will you be alright?
  • What's the difference between all of those wordy words?
