- What’s an occupational therapist you may ask? Well those are the people that help me find easier ways to manage my abilities so I can do the things I love like playing with my friends, interacting with my family, participate in school, or even getting dressed.
- But how do they do this? Let’s ask my OT herself!
- Hi Lilly!! Can you help me share with my friends how you help me with my superpowers?

- Hi Lucas! Yes of course!! Which one should we start with?
- Ok friends! So, noises that may seem normal for us can actually seem much louder to Lucas. For example: people yelling, blaring music, the vacuum--
- Yup, and I run out and hide and put my hands over my ears.
- Or fireworks! Those drive me nuts!!
- Yes! I know and when your super hearing takes over, you can't focus or pay attention.
- Now, what we have been working on in our superhero training sessions is to remember to go to a quiet space to try and control these powers until he feels much better.
- And another way is to use my cool headphones! They block out the noise.
- Awww man that one is tough to get away from!
