- Moses Austin & Stephen F. Austin's empresario.
- U.S families settled there. It was located between the Brazos and Guadalupe rivers, and the capital was San Felipe de Austin. Known as the 'Old 300'. Largest colony in Texas.
- DeWitt's empresario.
- Like Stephen, DeWitt had American settlers in his colony. Along the Guadalupe river, and the capital was Gonzales. Second largest colony in Texas. DeWitt lost the land to Martin during a land dispute.
- Martin de Leon's empresario.
- The colony was located on the coast of the Guadalupe river. Settled by Mexican families. The capital was Victoria. Only Mexican colony in Texas.
- Lorenzo de Zavala empresario
- The colony was located east of the San Jacinto river. Settled by 500 American families. Zavala transferred his grants to the Galveston Bay and Texas land company. Along with some other people.
- John McMullen & James McGloin's empresario
- The colony was located on the left of the bank of the Nueces river. The capital was San Patricio. Settled by 200 Irish families. The colony eventually disbanded and joined the Power & Hewetson colony.
- The colony was located between the Lavaca and Guadalupe rivers. The capital was Refugio. Settled by Catholic Irish and Mexican families. Most successful Irish colony in Texas.
