Storyboard Text

  • Its 11:00 am on meet day! For my pre-game meal 5 hours before i eat whole grain toast with PB, eggs, fresh fruit with a class of milk. It is important to follow the NTP for protein since you should eat small amounts throughout the day. This meal contains whole grain, protein and vitamin d
  • At 1:00 PM I start to make my lunch by having pasta salad, veggies and trail mix with a class of juice. This meal includes carbohydrates. These carbs gives energy i need for my meet.
  • It is now 3:00 pm. For a quick snack i am having pretzels. It is important to follow NTP for carbohydrates since it s a quick digesting carb. It is important to eat around an hour before my meet.
  • With 30 minutes left until the meet, I stay hydrated by drinking water and getting electrolytes by drinking my gatorade that has calcium, sodium and potassium.
  • 4:00 MEET TIME!!!!!!
  • Now it is 8:00 PM the meet is over, i need a meal with protein to help repair my muscles. For dinner I will eat grilled chicken with brown rice and vegetables.
