Violence Leads To More Violence
Macduff is devastated when he finds Duncan’s body. But once he suspects Macbeth of murder he risks everything to raise an army against him.
It Is not fate, but our own human will that controls us.
Macbeth knows that Macduff's loyalties don't lie with him, and this makes him angry. He sends his murderers to kill Macduff's family. Macbeth seems to think he isn't guilty of murder so long as he wasn't present when it occurred.
Macbeth orders the slaughter of Macduff's entire household, culminating in this horrifying scene. A force of 'soldiers' invade Macduff's castle and murders Lady Macduff and her children.
Macduff Vows to overthrow Macbeth and return Scotland to the rule of the people. Macduff is the first to suspect Macbeth's role in the demise of Duncan, and he also knows Macbeth has murdered Banquo.
