- A group of rich businessman got together and either bought or rented a boat
- She's a beauty

- They loaded the ships with goods that India wanted- ammunition, buttons and shoes and set sail to India
- They unloaded the goods at a trading stations and traded them for things that are cheap and easy to get in India but hard to get in Britain
- They sailed back to Britain with a fully loaded boat
- They sold the foreign goods in Britain- for far more than they paid for the British goods they traded
