- This is Percy. Percy is a pretty thirsty guy. Percy decides to order a bottle of water. Percy's water arrives at his table and he wants to take a drink, but what is his body doing? Let's investigate further.His eyes are photreceptors. They detect light and see things. The feeling of thirst acts as the stimulus. When the photorecpetors see the water bottle, sensory neurons bring the message through the peripheral nervous system to the centeral nervous system and interneurons carry the message through the CNS and to the control centre (brain and spinal cord).
