- PLEBIANS NEED MORE RIGHTS! PATRICIANS ARE TOO POWERFUL!
- The president is making bad decisions... but it could be worse. At least the other 2 branches of the government can regulate him..

- I could tell you guys about it... let me give you a history lesson. Long ago, the Romans had a republic as well. However, they had social classes, so that patricians(rich merchants) were more powerful than plebians(workers). Consuls were appointed as well, and they were the equivalenet of presidents, but more powerful. Over time, the roman government broke down because some people had more power than others.
- Later, the US government adapted their system, but refined it with three branches of government, so that no single person or group would have too much power. This is called checks and balances. (rome also had branches) Any citizen can vote, and everybody has the same rights, regardless of their status, unlike rome. Both have some sort of leader who is not actually a leader, in the president. Our justices serve for life, not 1 year.
