- Tonight's pepperoni pizza is split into 8 pieces. Dennis eats 2 pieces of pizza and Larry eats 3 pieces. What fraction of the pizza did the two boys eat?
- Each piece is 1/8 of the whole pizza. Dennis ate 2/8 and Larry ate 3/8 of the pizza.
- 2/8 + 3/8 = 5/8 Dennis and Larry ate 5/8 of the pizza.
