  • In his story,Harrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut is making the points that our quest for equality is making us less creative, less intelligent, and less individual. We are creating a society that will have our thoughts controlled and our freedoms determined by those in charge. The story shows how boring people will be, how anyone who challenges the authority will be eliminated, and how unhappy people will be. The very equal society so many people see as a great thing, is actually a bad thing that will destroy itself.
