- LONELY LOU BY: AMBER HUSER
- A long time ago, there was a lonely man named Lou. He would go in search of a wife every night. One night while searching for a wife, he wandered into a forest and became desperately lost
- After wandering aimlessly for many days and nights, he noticed a light in the sky. The light continued to get bigger and brighter each night that he remained lost in the forest.
- On the last night , the light in the sky became a bright, round circle . The circle was so bright that it lit his way home.
- When he arrived home, there was a beautiful woman on his doorstep. Lou was mesmerize by her beauty.
- She said that she was Moona, Goddess of the Night Sky. She said that she had been admiring him from afar for many years and knew she had to help him when he became lost.
- Moona said that an evil sorcerer wanted to marry her and become God of the Night Sky. When she refused to marry him, he banished her to a life alone in the sky. She is only allowed to return to earth one night a month.
- She explained that her shape and brightness depend on her mood. If she is really sad, she is not visible but as her mood brightens, she grows bigger and brighter. She is always big and round when she can return to earth.
- From that day on, every month when Moona becomes full and bright, know she is very happy because she is able to spend time on earth with her beloved Lou.
