It turns out that I had somehow opened up a flashlight and eaten the lightbulb inside.
Jake, what happened?
Grandma Roz came downstairs and asked what happened, so my mom told her all about it.
Crunch, Crunch
Josh ate the lightbulb in a flashlight.
What happened?
My mom told my brother to get Grandma Roz while she called my father.
My mom drove me, Grandma Roz, and my brother to the South Hampton Hospital, and Grandma Roz was calling my father.
Jake, go get Grandma Roz while I call your father.
Neil
Yes, Mom.
When we got there, we went immediately to the emergency room.
My mom decided to bring me and my brother back home and bring me to the hospital in Newton Wellesley that we usually go to for emergencies and check ups.
Hi, we need to go to the emergency room.
Right this way.
The doctors there told my mom to wait and see if I was going to throw up and, of course, I did.
The nurses checked on me in the emergency room and my mom asked them for a gastroenterologist, as that is what my grandpa (her dad, who was also a pediatrician) told her to look for.
Do you have a gastroenterologist?
What's that?
We had to take the ferry back to Connecticut, and Grandma Roz joined us to take care of my brother.
As soon as we got to the dock in Connecticut, Grandma Roz went back on the ferry to go back to Long Island.
Bye!
Oh, thank goodness!
Bye!
We got there close to 8 PM.
My mom drove us all the way through Connecticut and Massachusetts to Newton Wellesley Hospital.
They were kind enough to stay and help us with our dilemma and they ended up running multiple scans on me.
When we finally got to the doctor's office, my mom told the nurse and doctor all that had happened.
He ate a lightbulb!
Ok, thanks.
Oh no!
We'll stay until the glass has gone through his system.
