- Fredrick runs over to Sandy hoping to find advice to escape getting whipped to death by Covey, were he takes him into the woods to find a root that supposedly will prevent Fredrick from ever getting whipped again.
- Theres no way that doesnt make any sense how does a root protect me from getting beaten to death
- Trust me, carry the root in your RIGHT pocket and you will never receive a blow again. Trust me I know from experience
- RISING ACTION
- YOU SICK LITTLE PEASANT HOW DARE YOU! GET HIM NOW, GRAB A HOLD OF HIM!
- After coming back with the such "magical root" Fredrick is chained up by covey about to be beaten up where he strikes a punch and they continue to fight for over 2 hours
- GET OFF ME! UGHHHH IM TIRED OF BEING A SLAVE
- Fredrick after that fight was never beat/ whipped again as Covey was just plainly scared of him and he lived without that pain for the rest of his life
- You really thought, HA! Youll never touch me again other wise i blow at you again.
- Ill get him one day, even if its the last thing i do
