- Birmingham, Alabama was a city effected by the civil rights movement. Protests, boycotts and more. The most diverse city had many civil rights movements, but with people wanting to do good there will always be those who oppose them

- The 16th street Baptist church was a place where people of the African American community would get together. The church was a community and social center. The church was a place where people would feel safe from all the chaos outside.
