Storyboard Text

  • Psyche was deserted by her father because of her attractiveness, Aphrodite was jealous of Psyche's beauty. Psyche was revered because people trusted she was the human version of Aphrodite. Her father abandoned her on a cliff to marry an evil Snake. The west wind carried her about the police and she heard a voice telling her that she was in residence. Psyche is called into the room where her husband is apparently determined. She entered a completely dark room and met her husband.
  • Climax
  • Later, Psyche finds out she is pregnant with Cupid's child, but is in complication because she doesn't know what the father looks like.
  • Falling action
  • Moreover, out of nosiness, she lit an oil lamp to see her husband, who turned out to be Cupid and she accidentally on purpose burned him. He says he has loved Psyche ever since his mother Venus told him to stab her with an arrow. Instead, he stabbed himself with the arrow, he explained, and then flew away.
  • Resolution
  • Psyche hears a voice compelling her that she can find Cupid, Aphrodite stops her and tells her further she needs to complete a series of three tasks to wed Cupid.
  • Mission 1: Sorting grain piles overnight, Mission 2: Collect the Golden Fleece, Mission 3: She must journey to the netherworld to convert Persephone to put a drop of beauty in the box. Psyche opens the box to save a little beauty for herself, eventually falling into a deep sleep. Cupid recovered and flew to Psyche, he gave her Ambrosia, the drink of the gods, and turned her into a mortal.
  • Psyche and Cupid married and Psyche gave birth to Pleasure. The story recites us further that without love and without soul there is no association.
