- Madame Loisel was a poor pretty girl. She always felt that she was too good for her husband. She said that she was made for a rich life, not a poor life.
- Climax
- Her and her husband were invited to a fancy party. She complained about not having anything to wear to the party. So she begged her husband to buy her a fancy dress.
- Falling Action
- Madame went to her rich friend to ask to borrow a Rich and fancy necklace. Her friend let her borrow a diamond necklace.
- Resolution
- They went to the fancy party and had a good time. Madame felt that she fit in with everyone and that those were her people.
- Madame loses the necklace that her friend let her borrow. She sent her husband to go look for the necklace late at night. He had no luck so they decided to buy a new necklace to replace the old one, They borrowed a lot of lones to pay for the diamond necklace and after 10 years they finally paid off all their debts.
- 10 years later Madame finally confessed to her friend about what had happened to the necklace and her friend told her that the necklace was made from fake diamonds and that it wasn't worth much.
