- 7 year old Jade is due to get her shots done before the start of the school year.
- The doctor comes in the room (NS: Natural Stimulus) to give Jade her vaccine.
- The doctor gives the shot (UcS: Unconditioned Stimulus) to the child which causes the child to cry (UCR: Unconditioned Response).
- OUCH! WWWAAAAA
- Now 8 year old Jade comes back to the doctors office a year later to get a yearly check up before the next school year.
- Jade sees the doctor comes in (CS: Conditioned Stimulus) and starts to cry (CR: Conditioned Response).
- WWWAAAAA
- Jade's mother has to calm her down and remind her that this visit is only for a check up and no shots.
