- During a time when Americans were recovering from war, the computer was developed by John Mauchly and J Presper Eckert in 1945.
- The computer would come to help businesses worldwide and become the backbone of technology
- Thesis
- The computer made new inventions that improved the world.

- Entertainment became more entertaining and communication was enhanced
- Medical science made more cures for illnesses and provided better care for patients
- Space exploration became true. To quote NASA "Computers are an integral part of all current spacecraft"
- Cons
- The computer also has its cons. The fear of people becoming too dependent on computers and not being able to solve problems on their own.
- Background
- The computer was made right after World War 2 and The Great Depression
- During 1945 the USA was in bad conditions because nearly a third of Americans lived in poverty
- Before the computer was made the people would watch baseball games, listen to the radio and watch television.
- The computer is a part of most families today. The inventions are non-stop and new advances come everyday.
