Storyboard Text

  • Hey bro, wanna learn about the respiratory system and the circulatory system.
  • Alright, sure bro.
  • Well, im going to show you how oxygen molecules travel all the way inside our bodies to our blood, then into our heart
  • Sounds good lets do it!
  • Now this is alot to take in are you ready?
  • Sounds good!
  • okay so, we ventilate which means inhale. when we do that oxygen runs through our nasal cavity to the pharynx/layrnx which transports the air into our trachea (windpipe). The cartilage rings are lined in the trachea to prevent it from collapsing
  • this allows the oxygen to diffuse into the blood so carbon dioxide can transfer out into the aveoli. So finally when you exhale, the carbn dioxide is realised right back out the body.
  • oxygen moves into our bronchi which divides into our bronchioles which branch off inside the lungs. As oxygen runs into our lungs, the diaphragm flattens too allow the lung to expand. the oxygen runs into the 300 million alveolies for gas exchange to take place.
  • wow! Thats alot to take in.
  • Thats so sick! So what is the circulatory system?
  • The circulatory system is made up of blood vessels that carry blood away and from the heart.Arteries carry blood away from the heart and veins carry blood back to the heart. The circulatory system carries oxygen, nutrients, and hormones to cells, and removes waste products, like carbon dioxide.
  • Anytime man!
  • Cool thanks man!
