- This is Thomas Jefferson buying land. It doubled the size of the lan before.

- When we both went there it was beautiful, there was a variety of deer, and plenty of wild berries.

- This is Lewis and Clark describing the land of Kansas. Their description is the opposite from others.
- Zebulon Pike
- This is Zebulon Pike describing what Kansas looked like to him. It was the complete opposite of Lewis and Clarks description.
- The land is terrible it looks completely like a desert.
- This Stephen Long traveling by steam boat to see Kansas. It's also him describing what it looked like.
