- Your son is hurt very badly but in no pain.The company takes no liability but would like to give you 200 pounds in compensation

- It just hit me, you can wish Herbert back!!!! We have only used one wish.Honey please!!!, Please wish him back!!
- While Mrs. White was knitting, Mr. White an their son (Herbert) were playing chess. Suddenly they hear a knock on the door. It was Sergeant Major Morris, A friend of Mr. white
- Falling Action
- I like fries
- Mr. White chose to wish for 200 pounds for his first wish. Sargent Major warned them of consequences of this. The next day, they found out that their son Herbert had died in a machinery accident. The company compensated them 200 lbs for his death. Just like they wished for.
- Resolution
- Oh Thank the lord!!
- About a week later, Mrs White was sobbing and remembered about the monkey pay. She asked Mr. White to use the paw to wish her Herbert was still alive. So he went down stairs and found the Monkey paw and thus wished him alive
- Okay... Okay.. I will
- Soon after the wish, there was a knock at the door. Mrs White ran to open the door but luckily it was locked. This gave Mr. White time to find the monkey´s paw and undo his wish for Herbert to be alive as he was scared of the consequences of wishing him alive.
- What if it isn´ t Herbert. This is too unsettling. I must reverse my wish
- I am coming Herbert my boy... I am coming!!
- The knocking stopped. When Mrs. White finally got the door open, there was no one there. Mr. White was relieved.
- My boy!!.... He´s gone
