- The king's younger brother, Amulius, kills him to take the throne, kills his male heirs, and condemns the female heir to be a vestal virgin
- A while later, a kind farmer was out and saw the boys in the forest and took them home and raised them, they named them Romulus and Remus.
- But Rhea Silva, the female heir to the previous king, falls in love with Mars, the Roman God of War and they have twin sons.
- Because Rhea Silva broke the vows of being a vestal virgin, the punishment was usually death, but as Amulius didn't want to mess with the wrath of Mars, he condemned Rhea to be a slave and ordered a servant to throw the twins in the river. The servant felt so bad for the defenceless twins and instead placed them gently on the water and hoped someone would see them and take them in.
- One day, a she-wolf went down to the river to drink, but then saw the babies in the basket. She picked up the basket and then raised the boys as her own.
- One day when herding sheep, the king's men got into a fight with Romulus and Remus and they captured Remus. Romulus went to the castle and rescued his brother and killed the king. When the city learned who the boys were, they asked them to be king. But instead of accepting the decided go out and create their own city. Finally they had found the perfect place, but they argued over which hill to build on. Romulus killed Remus and built Rome and named it after himself.
