- I will explain you how this works. 0 means no dots, 1 means 1 dot and 2 means 2 dots and so on. Five is our basis as the number of fingers on our hand. We use four hands to make 20. Further 20 is the base for all our counting. We have 365.242 days in an year, 24 hours in a day and 29.5308 days in a month.
