How can we stop Indian hate in American school systems?

2. This hate is powered by ignorance.Negative stereotypes on Indian culture are mainstreamed.They are the main reason hate occurs.
1. As a small minority in America, Indian kids can get excessively bullied. They get called offensive things like:
Dirty Curry Muncher.
Taxi Driver. Go back to your country, you elephant worshipper
Just so they don't get bullied...
3. These sorts of common insults bring lots of mental stress for Indian Americans. It often leads some to put down their own cultural values and hide the fact they are Indian.

Indian hate goes unnoticed, particularly in SCHOOL.
Fortunately, there are solutions present to mediate Indian American hate in school:
Step 1: Educate Teachers
Researchers Tummala-Narra et al. believe this will this will create a safer environment for Indian kids and address issues like bullying racial devaluing, and name mispronunciation.
Instruct teachers on basic Indian cultural and experiences.
Step 2: Educate Students on Indian Culture.
3. Indian students will stop being treated like second class citizens.
1. Indian Students will be more comfortable embracing their Indian culture and identity in public areas. (Researchers Tummala-Narra et al. found this to be the case.)
If American students were educated on Indian culture: 2. They'll better understand more their Indian peers experience. More understanding= LESS Hate
