- The Tell Tale heart is a story that takes place long ago. It is about a madman who is traumatized by an innocent old mans blind eye. The madman does a horrible deed and finds that he cannot escape his guilt. Bye the end his guilt builds up too much and he turns himself into the police.
- Climax
- The conflict of the story is that the madman hates the old mans blind eye and wants to get rid of it but whenever he gets the chance the old man has his eyes closed. Because of this, the madman cant kill the old man because he has no problem with the old man just his blind eye.
- Falling action
- Every night for a whole week the madman watches the old mans eye with a lantern waiting for his chance to strike and finally be rid of the eye.
- Resolution
- The mad man finally strikes and kills the old man. He then hides him under the floor thinking that he is finally rid of the old mans eye.
- Police officers show up to the mad mans house because of suspicion of fowl play. The madman thinking that he is finally rid of his conflict lets the police officers in. He then openly lets them search the house but then the mad man thinks he hears the old mans heart start beating.
- The madman thinks the old mans heart beat is getting louder and louder. Because of this, the madman tries to hide his guilt by speaking faster and with more feeling. But, he gets to the point where he cant take it anymore and he turns himself in.
