- Eugene Talmadge died December 21st, 1946. He had won the election for Governor of Georgia, but he was yet to be sworn in. This led to three men fighting over the position of governor....

- When the death of Eugene Talmadge first occurred, his son had already forged a plan. Before his death they had written Herman multiple fake write-ins to help him become governor after the death of his father. People know that these votes are fake because they were written in alphabetical order.
- ALMOST THE GOVERNOR
- Good job guys! Keep signing my very real write-in votes!
- I can stay in office until someone else is sworn in!
- As the lieutenant governor, the constitution says I should be the governor!
