Some signs that someone has stolen your identity are:- Accounts that you don’t recognise are on your credit report - You are finding unfamiliar transaction on your credit card or bank statement - The IRS says that it has more than one tax Return in your nameWays to stop this from happening are:- You can sign up to receive texts or emails whenever there’s a new transaction. This could make it easier to spot people taking money from your bank account.- Keep all your documents or notes with important information (Passwords/Credit number/Your address) in a safe place so people can’t get to it.
- WAYS TO STAY SAFE ONLINE ARE:- You can keep all your passwords in a safe place and don’t tell anyone - Don’t post photos or videos of your house and address- Don’t agree to meet with people that you met online- sign up to receive texts or emails when you make a transaction through your bank account and that would make it easier to monitor if someone is buying stuff using your money.
