- Immigrants arrive in a boat that they have been on for weeks, whenever they get to shore they start the process of coming into America
- Registry Room
- An officer hands out identity tags and then escorts the immigrants to their location.
- The Stairs of Separation
- Doctors do chech ups on the immigrants to make sure they are healthy.
- The Kissing Post
- In the registry room immigrants were checked for many things, like diseases and record. The registry room was so big it was called the great hall.
- After the inspections this staircase was where people would go their separate ways.
- The reason this is called the kissing post is because this is where most families came together. They had made it to America.
