- Shays rebellion, a protestsagainst the articles of confederation, the constitution, that started because of taken farm land to pay for war debt. The articles of confederation promised veterans compensasion for their war efforts but instead took away their property.
- delagates from the origional whiting of the constitution, or framers, including James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton , participated in the re-writing of the constitution at the constitutional convention.
- The NJ plan and Virginia plan were both proposed to adjust government control and methods over the people of The US, with three branches of government. The Great compomise was created to settly conflicts between large and small population states for their number of representatives in congress, and legislasive structure.(The house and Senate)
- The three fifths compromise was an agreement made to please the people of the US after the decisions made on voting for each state. To compensate for teh amount of african americans in different states, they counted as 3/5 of a person for a vote
- the trade compromise was an agreement for the slave trade in the US. To please the slave staes, a tax was created on the import of slaves allowing them to continue the slave trade
- popular sovereinty was the action of the people of each state deciding if they wanted to be a slave for free state, instead of a government body
