- So what exactly is an Identity Theft?

- There are many of warning signs such as mistakes on your bank accounts, bills going missing, calls from debt collectors, and purchases that you didn't make.
- How do I reduce the risk of getting my identity stolen?
- You can reduce your risk by taking care of your personal information, look for charges you didn't make, shred sensitive documents, and keep important papers secure.
- What would I have to do if my identity ends up getting stolen?
- First of all, you need to act fast. You need to place a initial fraud alert on your credit report, contact credit companies and order your credit reports, create an identity theft report, and contact the FTC.
