- Thomas Jefferson buys the Louisiana territory from the French. He doubles the size of the United States.
- Hey Napoleon! Can we double the size of the US for 15 million dollars??
- Isn't it beautiful here Clark!
- Lewis and Clark explore Kansas in 1804 and think its a beautiful place. They think it has many games and many raspberries.

- It's to dry here I don't like it!!!!
- Zebulon Pike explores Kansas and calls it a desert. He also asks if it can be cultivated.
