  • lets talk about mitosis! There are five stages in the cell cycle division. today ill be going through the steps and what they do! lets start off with INTERPHASE, this is when the dna is copied which results in the cell having 2 identical chromosomes. Then we have PROPHASE, this is when the chromosomes start to condense, then the nucleus membrane starts to disinagrate. which is followed by it disappearing , thennnn this effects the centrosomes to move to the opposite poles of the cell. You see these are just the begging and only the first two steps!!!
  • in the middle of the cell cycle division when have metaphase, and anaphase. Lets start off with the one next in line which is METAPHASE, in this stage the spindle fibers attach the centrosomes to the chromosomes and lines up the center of the cell. Then after this we have ANAPHASE, this is when the chromosomes split into 2 sister chromatids. the spindle fiber will then pull the sister chromatids into opposite sides of the cell. This might be alot to take in but were almost done!
  • The last and final stage is TELOPHASE. Telophase is occurs as the new set of chromosomes are on opposite poles of the cells. The mitotic spindle breaks down and the nuclear membrane starts to form around each set of chromosomes, which creates a duagter cell. This was the very last stage of cell division. These five stages are all apart of mitosis, and Veryy important!!!
