- John F. Kennedy was elected as the 35th President of the United State. With the development of TVs, he won the election somewhat by his appearance.

- JFK, different from Eisenhower, he wanted to be a good neighbor for everyone. This Alliance of Progress is just another Marshall Pan for brown people specifically.

- JFK knew the power of nuclear weapons by heart. Thus he decided to train more conventional troops and encouraged others to do the same thing. He believed that it will somewhat prevent a nuclear war.

- In March 1960, Ike ordered CIA to train Cuban exiles for an invasion of their homeland. Plan eventually failed because JFK failed to provide the necessary resources, causing innocent Cuban to die for no reason.
- In an attempt to counter any new American intervention and to improve the USSR's position in the nuclear arms race, Castro and Krushcher devised a plan that they should install missiles in Cuba so most part of the US was endangered for potential nuclear bombing. The event was finally solved by JFK that both sides will remove certain nuclear weapons around the world.

- JFK was kind of the turning point of the cold war that nuclear war was somewhat prevented by him. Instead of harshly against the USSR as what Eisonhower did, JFK chose to solve the problem peacefully.
