- The scene opens in on a man with a tie with a pizza hut logo.
- A pizza hut manager named Jeff is being asked by the Author if he can go home.

- After washing dishes the author asks Jeff if he can be promoted soon and Jeff told the author he can when he stops complianig.
- Dishes: (Random names here)Make table:Danial A.
- Some wear a suit with a tie, for me that person wore a tie with a pizza hut logo on it.
- The author was now in his senior year and was recommended to go to BU and he had told Jeff he did not mail it yet.
- Not until the work is done, He said You leave a clean station.
- The author wanted to get used to Boston but could not travel there but..
- A few days later, when I reported for my after-school shift, I saw my name penciled not in the dishes but in the make table box.

- He had told me to stop what I was doing, leave work and send the application immediately. I protested about the expense of overnight postage, but he said he would cover it.
- Jeff surprised me with an early graduation present: a trip to Boston.
- The family had dispersed, and I felt free to shift my mind-set to college and the future.
