- Sergeant Major Morris arrives to the White’s house.
- Mr. White makes his first wish.
- Herbert dies.
- Mr. White welcomes his old friend sgt Major Morris to his family. Sgt Major Morris tells stories about the Monkey’s paw and how dangerous it is.
- A guy from saw and meggins comes over.
- Mr. White uses his first wish to get 200 pounds of money. His son Herbert goes upstairs not believing in the monkey’s paw.
- Mr. White makes second wish.
- Herbert gets caught in the machinery and dies.
- Mr. White makes his third wish.
- The guy from saw and meggins tells Mr. and Mrs. White about Herbert’s death. Then gives them 200 pounds of money and that proves the wish that Mr. White wished for Herbert to die in the process.
- Mrs. White tells her husband to wish their son back from the dead. Then he wishes and it works, but Mr. White and Mrs. White don’t know yet.
- Mrs. White hears someone knocking and thinking that it is Herbert she rushes down to open door and can’t cause it is locked. Then Mr. White takes advantage and grabs the monkey’s paw. Finally, he wishes that his second wish didn’t happen.
